This Valentines Day Commit to Doing Work You Love!

“If you love your work, it does not feel like work, it feels like play”

“Work out what you love to do.

Work differently and change habits.

Effect change to keep new habits.

And change your world for the better

Doing what you love is so important to us here at ALX Group, that’s why we would like to share with you some tips on how to make the most of your time to spend with the ones you love.

Use the matrix below to change your work so that you are doing work that you love.

STEP 1 Allocate your work into the most appropriate boxes below.

STEP 2 For everything that is in the ‘Low Skill-Low Fun’ category you need to

Delete It

–        Are you able to stop doing this task without negative consequences?

–        ALX guidance to guide you through non-detrimental deletion.

Automate It

–        Are you able to use technology to deliver this for you?

–        ALX automate to automate tasks for you.

Delegate It

–        Are you able to outsource this task?

–        ALX assistance to assist on ways to delegate.

These tasks are the least fun for you, and the most-costly of your valuable time, so have others do for you, freeing you up to focus on the higher value activities in your matrix (in your work).

Remember to create systems and processes for the things you delegate, so it is easy for others to complete or handover. ALX support ready to assist with procedures and processes.

STEP 3 Once you have completed step 2, you can move diagonally up and to the right and repeat the steps until all your work efforts are in high skill, high fun area.

The ‘High Skill & High Fun’ tasks are the items that you enjoy the most and will bring you the biggest reward for your time. Only give up the items in this box when you are ready to take a step back to manage business outcomes or for the business to run without you.

This next page is for you.

Write down what you think about yourself and your work and what you do or do not enjoy. Let it flow. Don’t edit just blurb it right out here on this page. It doesn’t matter what words you use and what you say. Just use it as a release to learn about yourself. Don’t think too hard. Just rant and rave – you will be amazed at what you can learn about yourself in this way.
